What I Love About Springdale...

During the latest General Plan update, residents were given an opportunity to say what they love about Springdale.  The following comments are their written responses:

I love, among many other things, the way the sun sets up.

The VIRGIN!! (River)

The nice people and friends. Very quiet, very small. Nice neighbors. Clean air. Water is CLEAN!

Animals, agriculture in city limits

The river

I love the sense of community, how all ages and walks of life unite here.

What is not to like?

The people

I love, love, love all the cultural events of a big city in a small community!

I love small towns and the shuttle, Virgin river, library, school – friends!

The open and active community!

Natural scenery, of course; great people – sense of a community; varied backgrounds of citizens brought together by village feel and quality of life Springdale affords.

Small businesses; nature and the enthusiasm people have for her.

Nice people

The people; open space; the beauty; small town feel.

Trees, greenery, quaint, small town, outdoor eating

Small town feel, safe, view of cliffs, Zion National Park

Natural beauty, environment, planning, hospitality

There is a peaceful feel about Springdale - the river and the friendly people

A place where our young people can participate in their future

There is not a bad view in Springdale

The people

Red rocks

Open space, blend-in buildings, new bike path, great views, everything! Oh, and no chains!

Lots of fun events

Love the architecture

The pioneer history, the beautiful canyon, the small town atmosphere, the National Park, the shuttle

Clean air

Apple sauce

The community, views, Park, weather

Views, space, ‘slow traffic’, evolution of streetscape, night sky, great people, quiet, more…

I love people helping people, supporting children

Clean air!

Community gathering and support

The community, Parks, open space, arts

To play and explore

Open spaces, open minded, the arts, clean air, community, small town

The quaint, small town with great people

The community, the arts, the landscape, the open spaces, and the look of the city. No BIG buildings, no BIG signs, no BIG lights.

The green spaces and small town atmosphere, friendly people

Clean air, friendly people, the beauty, peaceful environment away from busy city

I love to hear how friendly Springdale is from the visitors

I can say ‘I love you’ to almost everyone I meet

Quiet. Neighborhood?

Community that attracts a diversity of thoughts and cultural events

Small town feel

Ponds supporting wildlife, agriculture pockets along highway 9, relatively dark night sky, great business supporting local artists and craftspeople, supportive of many kinds of people, what’s not to like?

No place for airport!

There are areas that are still undeveloped

The Park (Zion), small town, great folks, low density, shuttle, small business

The beauty of the canyon, the diversity of Springdale’s residents

I like: lots of open space, garden, animals, community, fewer tourists

Friendly people

Parkitecture

There are truly many things to love about Springdale!
