Town Committees
Several Town committees have been organized to analyize issues and make recommendations to the Town Council, help organize events, and keep Town operations running smoothly. Depending on the need and workload, these committees can meet on a regular schedule or on an as needed basis.
If you are interested in serving on a committee, please let us know. We are always looking for people to help solve problems. If you are just interested in what they are talking about, please come to the meetings. All committee meetings are open to the public.
Parking Committee
Tom Dansie, Chair
Meets as needed throughout the year, but usually during the tourism season. Looking at issues related to parking during the tourism season.
Secondary Water Advisory Board
Brent Heaton, Chair
Meets on an as needed basis. Advisory board for the secondary water (irrigation) system. Comprised of members of the Town Council and Springdale Consolidated Irrigation Company Board. Makes recommendations to the Town Council on irrigation issues.
CCC Management Board
Meets on an an as needed basis. Management committee for the CCC and comprised of members appointed by the Town and Washington County.
Trails
Max Gregoric Chair
Meets on an as needed basis. Helping to plan trails throughout Springdale
River Use
Rick Wixom, Chair
Meets on an as needed basis, but generally during the summer months.
Joy to the World
Mark Chambers, Chair
Meets regularly from summer to January each year. Plans events for the Joy to the World Festival in November and December each year.
Zion Canyon Music Festival
Julie Hancock, Chair
Meets regularly from spring to fall and as needed though the rest of the year. Plans and organizes the Zion Canyon Music Festival.
