2009 Butch Cassidy 10K Run/5K Walk

General Information:
The 10K Run begins at 10 a.m. just south of the Driftwood Lodge at 1515 Zion Park Blvd. in Springdale, Utah. The 5K Walk (Age 11 and over) and Fun Run/Walk (Age 10 and under) begin at 9:45 a.m. just past the Rockville bridge on Bridge Road. You cross the finish line in the quiet ghost town of Grafton. (see map)
Participants in the 5K must ride the free shuttle from the Driftwood Lodge to the 5K starting line. Meet at the Driftwood Lodge no later than 8:30 a.m.
PLEASE NOTE: there is NO PARKING at the Grafton finish line. Spectators MUST park at the LDS Church across from the Driftwood and ride the shuttle to and from Grafton. Please do not park at the Driftwood Lodge. The last shuttle leaves the Driftwood at 9:00 a.m. Return shuttles will begin their trips to the Driftwood after the final runner has crossed the finish line.
Entertainment after the race will feature Kenny Hall.
Jackets left in the registration area or along the way will be gathered and brought to the finish line, but we cannot guarantee “your stuff” will get there. Jackets and other clothing will not arrive at the finish until after the last runner arrives at the finish line.
Registration Information and Fees:
Pre-registration fee is $20 if entry is received before 10/23/09. Late registration (10/24 to 11/06) is $30. NO registrations will be taken on race day. Children 10 and under are $10. No refunds after 10/23/09.
ONLY racers registered before 10/23 will be guaranteed a race t-shirt, bandana, and goody bag. You can pick up your goody bag and bib number at the Springdale Town Hall (118 Lion Blvd.) on Friday November 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on race day from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the starting line in the Driftwood parking lot (1515 Zion Park Blvd).

Awards:
The awards will be presented in Grafton following the race; there is a free raffle and prizes, along with refreshments and entertainment by Kenny Hall. Winners may have their medals engraved for a charge of $5. Run results are available after the event at www.runnercard.com.
Other information:
A physical examination is not required to compete in the Butch Cassidy Race. However, all competitors participate at their own risk. If in doubt as to your physical condition for the run, it is strongly recommended that you seek the advice of a competent medical care provider and abide by his/her advice.
All persons under the age of 18 must have the written consent of their parent or legal guardian to compete in the Butch Cassidy race.
Proceeds from this fun event benefit Youth Activities in Zion (YAZ) and the Grafton Heritage Partnership Project (GHPP).
