Sunny Lee

Winter 2008 Citizen of the Season

Sunny Lee was born in South Korea. She moved to the US in 1977. Sunny has given of her time in many ways. She says that the reason that she is so generous with her time and money in that she is so blessed in her own life. Giving to others gives her the chance to pay back for her own blessings.

Sunny has donated her time and efforts to the following:

CERT emergency service
Butch Cassidy 10K Race
She and her husband, John, donated the dance floor for the Canyon Community Center.
She volunteers for the Dove Center, a shelter for women and children in St. George.
She is currently training to become a court appointed special advocate for abused children in Washington County.
She volunteers her time to raise money for children in Mexico.

Sunny and John do many things to help people in our community. They fix sewing machines and do backhoe work for anyone in town who needs that type of help. In return they hope more people will contribute to some of the causes in which they are involved.
