Winter 2009 Citizen of the Season
For the past four years, Max has been serving the community as the Springdale Trail Coordinator. Max has volunteered countless hours with the Town staff in planning the future Zion Canyon Trail. Because of Max's invaluable assistance, the Town recently was awarded a grant to start building the first phase of the trail . Engineering and design for the first phase has already begun.
Max’s efforts in spearheading the trail project go far beyond just his volunteer work Since the beginning of the trail planning, Sol Foods, owned by Max and Julie Gregoric, has been charging 5 cents for each plastic shopping bag used by customers at the market. This idea of Max’s has resulted in a donation of $2000 towards the construction of the trail. Way to go!
Max also supports many of the other events held in Springdale throughout the year. Every year the Gregorics contribute food and supplies to help make our 4th of July, Earth Day, Butch Cassidy and other events successful. Thanks to Max, Julie and everyone at Sol Foods for making a difference.
Max also serves on the Rockville Planning Commission. Anyone who has spent time serving on the Planning Commission understands the time and effort involved. Thanks Max, for all you do to make the Zion Canyon area a great place to live.
