Arbor Day
The Town celebrates Arbor Day each April, usually in conjunction with the Springdale Elementary School. in 2011, the elementary school kids planted five trees in the River Park, three Bradford Flowering Pear trees and two Weeping Flowering Cherry trees.
Over the past several years, about 50 trees have been planted in Springdale through Arbor Day celebrations.
Tree City USA
Since 2009, Springdale has been recognized as a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation.
