Only in Springdale is St. Patrick's Day celebrated with a green Jell-O sculpture contest. Usually held on the Saturday closest to the St. Patrick's Day holiday, the cebreation includes a parade, Jell-O contests, live music and lots of "Irish" fun. There's a full day of fun and feast this year!
Walk Washington County, sponsored by Dixie Regional Medical Center and Intermountain LiVeWell Center, is a series of monthly historic walks that celebrate the history of the county, promote wellness and commemorate 100 years of hospital care in the county, as part of the CareCentennial. The mayor of each community will lead the walks. Join Springdale's Mayor Pat Cluff at the Majestic View Lodge at 11:00 on March 16.
Participants age 12 and older will receive a free, wooden walking stick at their first walk and a medallion representing each city walk in which they participate. Participants who earn all 12 medallions will be eligible for a prize-drawing to win a full medical fitness evaluation including a personal health coach for one month through the Intermountain LiVe Well Center and other prizes. For more information about the LiVe Well Center please visit www.intermountainLiVeWell.org.
