Rockville/Springdale Fire Protection District

The Rockville/Springdale Fire Protection District (RSFPD) is a special service district created in 1983 by Washington County to provide fire protection to the municipalities of Rockville and Springdale.  Emergency Medical Services were added to the District in 2000.

The RSFPD encompasses 13 square miles and serves a resident population of approximately 800, and an additional 4 million annual visitors to Zion National Park.

The District has contracted with the Hurricane Valley Fire Special Services District (HVFSSD) to provide personnel to serve in the one fire station in the Town of Springdale. There are two cross-trained EMS/firefighter personnel available on an on-call basis 24-hours/day, seven days a week.

The RSFPD is governed by a five member board of directors.  District Board public meetings are generally held every fourth Wednesday of each month in the Springdale Town Chambers.  Click here for a list of 2017 meeting dates.

The fire house and District headquarters are located at 1130 Zion Park Blvd. in Springdale.
