NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Springdale Town Council will hold a public hearing as described below.  The hearing will be held at the Canyon Community Center, 126 Lion Boulevard, Springdale, UT 84767.

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the provisions of the Utah Local Government Bonding Act, Title 11, Chapter 14, Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended (the “Act”) that on December 13, 2023, the Town Council (the “Council”) of the Town of Springdale, Washington County, Utah (the “Issuer”) adopted a resolution (the “Resolution”) in which it authorized the issuance by the Issuer of its Wastewater Revenue Bonds, in one or more series (the “Bonds”), in the aggregate amount of not to exceed $5,000,000, to bear interest at the rate or rates not to exceed 3.00% per annum, to mature in not more than 31 years from their date or dates, and to be sold at a price not less than 98% of the total principal amount thereof, plus accrued interest to the date of delivery. The estimated total cost to the Issuer for the proposed Bonds, if the Bonds are held until the maximum maturity, based on the maximum interest rate above, is $7,686,102. As Wastewater revenue bonds, the Bonds will be secured by the net revenues of the Issuer’s Wastewater system, and no taxes will be pledged as security. However, presently, for other projects the Issuer has no outstanding bonds secured by a pledge of its Wastewater revenues.

 

  1. Ordinance Revision: Changes to Chapter 10-22 of the Town Code, altering the standards and application processes for large outdoor event permits. Staff contact: Kyndal Sagers.

 

This notice is intended to comply with the requirements of Utah State Code sections 10-9A-205 or 10-5-108 concerning notifying the public of upcoming public hearings.

 

Please contact Town Staff identified above for additional information about the matter(s) to be addressed in the public hearing. Staff reports regarding the matter(s) will be available by January 5, 2024, and will be posted on the Town’s website (https://www.springdaletown.com/agendacenter).

 

The public is invited to provide written comment on the matter(s) at least two days in advance of the public hearing or attend in person to provide verbal comments during the public hearing portion of the public meeting.
