The Springdale Planning Commission has the hardest job in town!

These volunteer citizen planners are challenged with balancing their charge to protect the beauty and unique village character of Springdale with property owners' rights, General Plan objectives, and the standards of state and local laws. To do this task, they meet on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 5:00pm in the Canyon Community Center, unless noticed otherwise. Members of the Community Development Department assist them and perform most of the administrative duties required by code.

Most of the powers and duties of the Planning Commission are detailed in Utah State Code and Springdale Town Code. They also have bylaws, and a code of conduct.
