Springdale has a unique village atmosphere and small town feel. The unique sense of place and community character are some of the Town's most valuable assets. The Town has adopted land use plans and regulations to help maintain this unique village atmosphere, including:

  • The General Plan and Future Land Use Map
  • The Land Use Ordinance (includes the Zoning and Subdivision ordinances)
  • The Design Standards Manual (includes design guidelines for new construction and landscaping)
  • Construction Design Standards and Details
  • Other various plans and studies

These plans, regulations, and standards are all built on community input and are designed to promote the community's vision for the future growth and development of the Town. The Town uses these land use regulations to help new and existing development promote the village atmosphere and small town feel.

Services

The Planning Department administers the Town's land use regulations. In doing so the Department provides the following services:
  • Review of new development (residential, commercial, and subdivisions)
  • Long range planning
  • Regional planning (in partnership with the Zion Canyon Corridor Council - ZC3)
  • Community and economic development projects
  • Code Enforcement
